SAUDI ARABIA —Tabuk Agricultural Development Co. (TADCO) has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with 386 Vibrant Solar Solutions Company to evaluate the development of a photovoltaic solar power project at TADCO’s site in the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia. Signed on October 4, 2026, the agreement establishes a framework for assessing the solar facility and the electrical infrastructure required to integrate its output into the company’s operations.
The proposed installation is expected to have annual electricity production of approximately 195,000 MWh. The project is intended to enable TADCO to meet part of its electricity requirements from renewable generation while reducing operating costs over the longer term. No financial impact is recorded at the memorandum stage, and the agreement does not specify a duration.
386 Vibrant Solar Solutions Company is a Saudi limited liability company operating as an independent solar power producer, with capabilities covering the development and financing of solar generation projects and associated infrastructure. TADCO is an agricultural company operating in Saudi Arabia, making the proposed renewable-power initiative particularly relevant to energy-intensive agricultural and processing operations in the region.
The development also follows regulatory progress for TADCO’s self-consumption solar strategy. The company has obtained two study authorizations from the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority for solar power plants in the Tabuk region, with each project authorized at 25.5 MW AC. These approvals provide a regulatory basis for further assessment of solar generation capacity dedicated to the company’s own electricity consumption.
For businesses, the initiative highlights the growing use of self-consumption solar generation by industrial and agricultural operators seeking greater control over electricity costs and renewable-energy sourcing. For solar developers and project financiers, the proposed facility creates a potential development opportunity in Tabuk, while the absence of an immediate financial commitment means commercial terms, project economics and final implementation remain subject to further study and agreements.
