KOREA (SOUTH); UNITED STATES OF AMERICA —Taihan Cable & Solution has executed an intercompany material supply contract valued at approximately KRW 120 billion with its US operating entity, T.E.USA. Under the arrangement, T.E.USA will manage regional engineering, procurement, and construction responsibilities for a newly awarded extra-high-voltage (EHV) power grid development, while the parent organization manufactures and exports EHV cables along with associated accessory systems.
Taihan Cable & Solution is a South Korea-based wire and cable manufacturer specializing in extra-high-voltage power cables, submarine transmission lines, and integrated power system solutions for global utility and industrial sectors.
The expansion comes as North American power transmission infrastructure faces mounting stress from rapid artificial intelligence integration and data center site developments. These technological shifts, combined with widespread initiatives to replace aging electrical grid assets, are driving capital expenditures toward advanced high-voltage transmission networks.
For energy developers and utility operators, securing proven turnkey providers for high-voltage alternating current (HVAC) and direct current (HVDC) power transmission is becoming critical to mitigate installation risks. Major contract awards in the power equipment sector signal sustained international supply chain reliance as domestic grids scale to support intensive energy demands.
