INDIA —Tata Capital Cleantech Finance has committed ₹7.5 billion to support a new hybrid renewable power venture in Maharashtra, with an initial draw-down of roughly ₹3.75 billion already completed. The installation brings together 300 megawatts-peak of solar capacity, 50 megawatts of wind generation, and a 750 megawatt-hour Battery Energy Storage System. Designed to supply more than 630 million units of clean electricity each year, the facility targets commercial and industrial clients across the region.
Fourth Partner Energy is an Indian renewable energy developer specializing in customized power solutions for corporate clients, managing an active operational and development portfolio exceeding 5 gigawatts across the country. By incorporating utility-scale energy storage into combined wind and solar infrastructure, the company addresses the intermittent nature of renewable generation, offering corporate buyers a more predictable electricity profile.
The deployment comes as large-scale power consumers, particularly data centers and industrial operators near Mumbai, seek continuous zero-emission power to meet corporate sustainability goals. Combining generation technologies with battery storage smooths out fluctuations in supply, offering a reliable alternative to traditional fossil fuel-backed grid power during peak demand intervals.
More than half of the project's capacity is already allocated under commercial commitments to major corporate consumers. For private power producers and financial institutions, this transaction underscores growing capital allocation toward integrated storage solutions, establishing a blueprint for funding multi-technology clean energy assets in India's expanding corporate power market.
