UNITED STATES OF AMERICA —Tecnimont USA Inc. has formally executed a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract with Argent LNG, LLC to advance the development of a major liquefied natural gas export facility at Port Fourchon, Louisiana. Under the terms of the agreement, the engineering unit will deliver comprehensive FEED services, develop key permitting documentation, and provide technical guidance during the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regulatory process. The scope encompasses detailed project execution planning, cost and schedule estimation, safety and reliability assessments, and the technical integration of core process technology packages.
This engineering agreement marks a critical transition for the export project from preliminary planning toward full commercial execution. Defining the technical baseline and project architecture establishes execution certainty and bankability, which are essential prerequisites for securing project financing, offtake agreements, and final investment decisions. Successful completion of the FEED study and regulatory clearance is designed to facilitate a seamless transition into the engineering, procurement, and construction phase.
The project represents a substantial addition to North American gas export capacity, targeting an output of 25 million tons per annum across a 900-acre site.
