Industrial group Teqnion has completed the acquisition of Odlings Group, a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of traditional and after-cremation memorials, strengthening its regional footprint and adding established industrial and decorative stone businesses to its operations.

SWEDEN; UNITED KINGDOM —Swedish industrial group Teqnion AB has completed the acquisition of Odlings Group, taking ownership of all outstanding shares in its four operating companies: Odlings Limited, Odlings MCR Limited, Crown Memorials Limited and F G Marshall Limited. The transaction was executed through Teqnion UK Ltd and became effective immediately. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquired portfolio combines manufacturing, specialist industrial equipment and retail operations. Odlings produces traditional memorials and cremation-related remembrance products, while Odlings MCR manufactures shot blasting cabinets and degreasing equipment used in aviation, stone engraving and vehicle restoration. Crown Memorials operates five retail branches across the UK, and F G Marshall supplies books of remembrance, registers and associated calligraphy services. Collectively, the businesses employ approximately 110 people and generated average combined annual revenue exceeding GBP 10 million over the previous three years.

The acquisition strengthens Teqnion's presence in the UK through a group with established manufacturing facilities, specialised production capabilities and a diversified customer base. Odlings operates from a manufacturing facility in Hull and supplies approximately 600 customers, including monumental masons, funeral directors and crematoria. Its established market relationships provide access to both wholesale and direct retail distribution channels, while the group's industrial equipment division extends its activities beyond the memorial products market.

Management continuity is a key element of the ownership transition, with the existing management teams remaining responsible for their respective businesses. The companies will operate within Teqnion Väst, maintaining their existing operational structures. Teqnion stated that the transaction is not expected to have a significant impact on its financial results for fiscal year 2026.

For the UK manufacturing and specialist products sectors, the transaction represents a change in ownership of an established group operating across several niche markets. The combination of stone processing, memorial manufacturing, industrial machinery and remembrance services provides Teqnion with exposure to multiple customer segments and revenue streams. For suppliers, employees and customers, the continuation of existing management structures indicates that the businesses are expected to retain their operational arrangements following the ownership change.

Founded in 2006, Teqnion AB is a Swedish industrial holding group that develops a portfolio of specialised businesses through acquisitions and decentralised management. Its investment strategy focuses on established companies operating in niche industrial markets. The addition of Odlings Group extends its UK portfolio and broadens its exposure to specialist manufacturing and consumer-facing services.
