Private equity firm Thoma Bravo has made a strategic growth investment in Australian workforce management platform Tanda. The funding will fuel global market expansion and product innovation, specifically accelerating the target's proprietary artificial intelligence capabilities across frontline workforce management sectors.

AUSTRALIA Software-focused investment firm Thoma Bravo has finalized a strategic growth investment in Tanda, an enterprise management platform targeting shift-based operations. Operating internationally under the Workforce.com brand, Tanda provides cloud-based human resource software that consolidates recruitment, staff scheduling, attendance tracking, and automated wage calculations into a single system. Founded in 2012 and based in Brisbane, Australia, the platform serves roughly 8,000 corporate clients across hospitality, retail, quick-service restaurants, and healthcare sectors globally.

Under the transaction terms, Tanda's founding leadership team will retain significant equity ownership and continue directing operational strategy, with Jake Phillpot maintaining his position as Chief Executive Officer. Financial metrics and valuation details of the private deal were not disclosed. The capital partner, Thoma Bravo, is an institutional investor overseeing approximately $170 billion in assets under management, specializing in software platforms and technology enterprise scale-ups.

This strategic transaction underscores increasing institutional capital allocation toward unified compliance and human capital management tools. Organizations operating shift-based business models face growing regulatory pressure, complex labor award structures, and heightened operational risks related to wage compliance. By backing an integrated workforce platform, investors aim to capitalize on the accelerating phase-out of fragmented legacy administrative systems in favor of automated, compliant architectures.

The cash injection will directly support Tanda's product roadmap, focusing on artificial intelligence deployment and international market penetration across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. For frontline employers and industry stakeholders, the investment signals a broader shift toward automated workforce scheduling and real-time payroll processing. Enhanced capital access enables solution providers to scale specialized compliance technology, offering shift-heavy enterprises improved operational accuracy and reduced legal exposure across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
