INDIA —The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has awarded a toll collection and management mandate worth INR 2.21 billion for the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. Under the terms of the agreement, the private operator will handle user fee collection, toll plaza operations, and manage four safety-and-patrol vehicles to supervise vehicular movement over a two-year tenure, which includes an option for a discretionary six-month extension.
The revenue structure yields INR 1.05 billion during the initial 12 months, followed by a scheduled 10 percent escalation in the second year. This agreement enhances medium-term earnings predictability for the contract winner while broadening its toll operations footprint across critical transport arteries in Northern India.
Incorporated in 2006 and based in Madhya Pradesh, Highway Infrastructure is an integrated developer operating across toll management, engineering, procurement, construction, and real estate segments across multiple Indian states.
