GERMANY —Conti Federal Services, LLC, a federal construction and design-build firm, has been awarded a €26.5 million task order by the USACE Europe District to design and construct a new Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility complex at Smith Barracks in Baumholder, Germany. USACE Europe District serves as the primary engineering and construction management arm for U.S. military installations across Europe. Conti Federal Services is a prime contractor specializing in complex military infrastructure, environmental remediation, and disaster response projects worldwide.
Under the terms of the agreement, awarded under the DB DBB Germany Benelux Multiple Award Task Order Contract, Conti Federal will deliver a comprehensive maintenance complex designed to support military vehicle readiness. The scope of work encompasses the construction of the Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility, a small vehicle maintenance shop, organizational vehicle parking areas, petroleum and hazardous material storage facilities, and specialized foundations. Additionally, the project includes the integration of modern information systems, cybersecurity infrastructure, fire protection and alarm systems, intrusion detection capabilities, and a direct connection to the Energy Management and Control System, incorporating sustainable and energy-efficient building standards. Project construction activities are scheduled for completion in February 2029.
