Uttar Pradesh cabinet approves INR 85.86 billion Greenfield Expressway to connect Jewar Airport with Ganga Expressway

The Uttar Pradesh state cabinet has approved a fully state-funded, 74.5-kilometer greenfield expressway connecting the Noida International Airport at Jewar to the Ganga Expressway. Valued at INR 85.86 billion, the six-lane access-controlled corridor aims to catalyze industrial development, optimize regional logistics, and boost commercial real estate investments.

The Uttar Pradesh state cabinet has officially approved the construction of a 74.5-kilometer greenfield expressway linking the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar to the Ganga Expressway. The access-controlled infrastructure project will be developed at an estimated cost of INR 85.86 billion. Designed initially as a six-lane corridor, the highway includes spatial provisions for future expansion to eight lanes to accommodate long-term traffic growth. The Government of Uttar Pradesh, the subnational administrative authority governing India's most populous state, will entirely finance the project without capital participation from the central government. The route will strategically traverse through Bulandshahr, establishing a direct high-speed link between the new aviation hub in Gautam Budh Nagar and the state's broader highway network.

This development represents a critical step in finalizing the multi-modal logistics framework surrounding the Noida International Airport.
