MALAYSIA —Offshore engineering and construction service provider Vantris Energy has expanded its contract backlog in Southeast Asia through two major offshore transportation and installation work orders valued at a combined RM1.8 billion. The service contracts, awarded to indirect wholly owned subsidiary VTEB Offshore, cover campaigns in Malaysian waters scheduled to run from the third quarter of 2026 through the fourth quarter of 2027.
Under the terms of the agreements, the company will deliver offshore transportation and installation services for PETRONAS Carigali and PTTEP offshore assets. The first award falls under an existing transportation and installation framework with PETRONAS Carigali, while the second expands work for PTTEP's offshore development projects in Malaysia. Formerly operating as Sapura Offshore, VTEB Offshore serves as the primary offshore construction entity for Vantris Energy Berhad, an integrated energy services provider focused on engineering, construction, and asset operations across key regional markets.
This substantial order injection arrives at a critical juncture for regional upstream service supply chains. Offshore developments across Southeast Asia are accelerating, driving heightened demand for specialized heavy-lift vessels and transport infrastructure. Securing a long-term campaign spanning multiple upstream operators stabilizes asset utilization rates for major marine construction contractors and strengthens local operational continuity.
For energy infrastructure stakeholders and investors, the multi-year work scope provides clear revenue visibility and confirms sustained capital deployment by major national and regional oil companies in Malaysia. The addition of RM1.8 billion in work orders strengthens Vantris Energy's balance sheet recovery and underpins execution momentum, positioning the group to capture further offshore construction opportunities as regional field developments proceed.
