INDIA —Indian solar photovoltaic module manufacturer Vikram Solar has secured a substantial supply order from NLC India Renewables Limited, acting on behalf of its parent organization NLC India Limited. The procurement contract encompasses the delivery of 289.87 megawatt-peak of N-type Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact modules intended for an 810-megawatt solar power generation facility situated within the RUVN Solar Park in Pugal, located in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan.
Vikram Solar is an Indian renewable energy manufacturing enterprise specializing in the production of photovoltaic solar panels and utility-scale solar energy solutions. NLC India Limited is a public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Coal in India, operating lignite mines and thermal and renewable power plants, while its wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables Limited spearheads the corporation's green energy asset deployment.
The deployed N-TOPCon solar modules are engineered to optimize energy yield and maintain stable power outputs under the high-temperature and high-irradiance environmental conditions characteristic of the Thar Desert. This deployment forms an integral component of the multi-megawatt solar build-out within the RUVN Solar Park, supporting national clean energy deployment goals and strengthening domestic manufacturing supply chains.
This supply agreement underscores the accelerating transition toward advanced photovoltaic technologies in large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. For independent power producers, domestic equipment manufacturers, and clean energy investors, securing high-efficiency module supply from certified domestic vendors mitigates supply chain vulnerabilities, enhances project bankability, and ensures long-term operational performance across utility-scale solar installations.
