VINCI Construction has finalized a definitive agreement to acquire the Modern Group of Companies to accelerate its operational expansion across Eastern Canada. According to official disclosures, the acquired firm specializes in roadworks and civil engineering throughout New Brunswick and generated roughly 50 million EUR in revenue during 2025. VINCI Construction is a subsidiary of the global concessions and construction giant VINCI Group, while the Modern Group of Companies is a vertically integrated infrastructure firm founded in 1945 with dedicated asphalt production and quarry operations.

This transaction carries significant strategic weight as it places VINCI in a commanding position within the Greater Moncton area, which is currently recorded as one of Canada's fastest-growing urban zones. By incorporating Modern’s two aggregate quarries and manufacturing facilities, VINCI establishes a deeply integrated supply chain.
