WoodKSS LLP has secured an expanded engineering and project support contract with Tengizchevroil to support operations at the Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan. The multi-year partnership extension focuses on specialist project management services for base operations and field development.

Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) has expanded its partnership with WoodKSS LLP through a new engineering and project support services agreement at the Tengiz onshore oil field in Kazakhstan. Operating under a framework established by a 2019 Master Services Agreement, the updated contract broadens WoodKSS's responsibilities to deliver specialized project management services. These services will sustain daily base operations and advance ongoing infrastructure development across the asset. WoodKSS, a joint venture specializing in energy engineering solutions within Central Asia, will execute the mandate using localized technical teams stationed in Atyrau, Almaty, and Tengiz.

This development underscores the strategic emphasis major oil operators are placing on operational continuity and efficiency asset management at mature, high-yield fields. The Tengiz asset ranks among the world's largest onshore oil fields, making its technical optimization vital for regional energy output. By scaling up specialized project support, TCO aims to mitigate operational risks and streamline complex brownfield and greenfield engineering workflows. The contract reinforces the long-term stability of the Central Asian energy supply chain and highlights the growing demand for highly localized engineering expertise in Kazakhstan.

For international oil conglomerates and engineering firms, this agreement signals sustained capital expenditure and operational investment in the Caspian region, despite broader global energy market fluctuations. It also demonstrates how institutional knowledge and multi-decade local partnerships remain a critical competitive advantage for oilfield service providers navigating complex regulatory and technical environments.
